Host on a big screen
Open Lamplight on a TV or laptop, choose a game and a level. A room code appears.
Join on your phone
Everyone scans the QR code or types the 5-letter code, then picks an animal, a level and a language.
Play, learn, laugh
Answer on your phone, watch the big screen, and open the scripture behind every answer.
Twenty-three games, one game night
From quick-fire quizzes to drawing, puzzles and detective games, and switch any time without anyone rejoining.
1–40Lamp Race
Fast, bright, everyone answers at once.
A rapid-fire quiz: the question appears on the big screen, everyone answers on their phone, and the quickest correct answers earn the most light. Turn on “own level” so children, teens and grandparents each get questions made for them, in the same game.
Matthew 5:16
1–40Scroll Showdown
Choose a scroll. Answer first. Know your Bible.
A shelf of sealed scrolls, sorted by topic. The deeper the scroll, the more it's worth. Choose one, be the first to tap Answer on your phone, and answer before the oil runs out. The night ends with the Final Scroll that everyone answers together.
2 Timothy 3:16
1–40Who Am I?
Clue by clue: guess the Bible person, place or thing.
Clues appear one at a time, from tricky to easy. Lock in your guess as early as you dare: the fewer clues you need, the more points you earn.
Acts 17:11
1–40Timeline Trek
Put Bible history in the right order.
Events, people and Bible books appear in a jumble. Tap them on your phone in the right order, from Noah's ark to Paul's journeys. Points for every item in the right place, plus a bonus for a perfect trek.
Romans 15:4
2–40Sketch & Seek
Draw it on your phone. Everyone else guesses.
One player gets a secret Bible word (Noah's ark, a sling and a stone, a lost sheep) and draws it on their phone while it appears live on the big screen. Everyone else types their guesses. Little artists welcome!
2–40Truth Finder
Spot the true Bible fact among the decoys.
A surprising Bible fact appears with a word missing. Everyone writes a believable decoy answer, then all the answers are mixed together. Can you find the truth? Score for finding it, and for every friend who picks your decoy. Best for teens and adults.
John 17:17
1–40Scroll Scramble
Unroll the letters and find the Bible name.
The letters of a Bible person, place or book tumble out of a scroll. Read the clue, then tap the letters in the right order on your phone. The quicker you unscramble it, the more you score.
Proverbs 25:2
1–40Bookshelf
Which Bible book tells this account?
An account appears on the screen (the Red Sea parting, Daniel in the lions' pit, Paul's shipwreck). Which book of the Bible tells it? A great way to learn your way around the Bible.
Psalm 119:105
1–40Odd One Out
Three belong together. Spot the one that doesn't.
Four answers appear: three share something in common and one doesn't belong. Find the odd one out, then learn what links the other three.
Philippians 1:10
1–40Count the Stars
Guess the number. Closest wins.
How many years did Methuselah live? How many fish did the disciples catch? Type your best guess on your phone. Exact answers shine brightest, but everyone close earns points.
Genesis 15:5
1–40Footsteps
Where did it happen? Tap the place on the map.
Walk in the footsteps of Bible people. A question appears (where did Jesus raise the widow's son? where did Paul's ship run aground?) and the map shows several named places. Tap the one you think is right, then step there. The closer your place is to the true one, the more you score.
Psalm 48:12-13
1–40Wall Builders
Rebuild Jerusalem's wall together.
Like the families in Nehemiah's day, everyone works on the same wall. Builders answer questions at their own level to lay bricks. Watchmen keep their eyes on the big screen and sound the horn when opposers come near. Finish the wall together!
Nehemiah 4:6
1–40The Lost Sheep
Answer to earn a clue. Talk to find the lamb.
One lamb has wandered off. Answer your question to earn a clue from the shepherd, then share clues out loud (“it's next to the well!”) and tap where you think the lamb is hiding. When everyone finds it, there is extra rejoicing.
Luke 15:4
3–40Two by Two
Find the other half of your Bible pair.
Every phone shows half of a Bible pair (Ruth or Naomi, Elijah or Elisha, Jonah or the big fish). Get up, talk to each other and find who holds your partner card, then tap their name. The quickest finds score the most.
Genesis 7:9
1–40Dragnet
Keep the fine fish, throw back the rest.
Inspired by Jesus' illustration of the dragnet. A category appears (the sons of Jacob, the fruitage of the spirit) and fish swim onto your phone. Keep the ones that belong and throw back the rest. Every fish sorted right earns points.
Matthew 13:47-48
1–40Bible Bingo
Listen to the clues and mark your card.
A listening game for the whole family. Every phone gets its own card of Bible people, places and things, and the big screen reads out clues one at a time. If the answer is on your card, tap its square. The sooner you know it, the more it scores. The first to complete a line gets a Bingo, and play carries on for a few more. Little ones get a smaller card with the best-known names.
Proverbs 1:5
3–40Bible Charades
Act it out. No words allowed!
One player at a time gets a secret Bible scene on their phone (building the ark, a shepherd searching for a lost sheep, a man climbing a tree) and acts it out without a word or a sound. Everyone else shouts out their guesses. When someone gets it, the actor taps who guessed it. Quick guessers score more, and the actor earns points too!
Psalm 78:4
1–40Memory Match
Flip two cards and find the Bible pairs.
A board of face-down cards on the big screen. Take turns picking two cards on your phone: if they make a Bible pair (Noah and the ark, Jonah and the big fish), they stay face up, you score, and the pair's scripture appears. If not, they flip back, so remember where each one is! Play all together or take turns, until every pair is found.
Ecclesiastes 12:1
1–40Shelf Builders
Fill the Bible's shelf together, book by book.
Fill the Bible's bookshelf together. The big screen shows an empty shelf: the five books of Moses, the four Gospels, or even all 39 or 27 books. Every phone holds a few of the books. Talk it over: who has the book that comes next? Tap it to put it on the shelf. A wrong book shakes and goes back to your hand, and costs the team a few seconds. Build the whole shelf together!
Ecclesiastes 4:9
1–40Journey
Travel a Bible route together, one stop at a time.
The whole room sets out on a famous Bible journey (Abraham leaving Ur, the Exodus, Paul's voyage to Rome). At every stop everyone answers a question at their own level. When enough of the room gets it right, the lamp moves to the next stop on the big map, with the scripture behind it. If not, try another question together. Everyone wins when the route is finished.
Psalm 25:4
1–40Lessons and Qualities
See a quality at work, then talk about imitating it.
A calm game for family worship. A Bible person appears with one moment from their account, and everyone picks, on their phone, the quality that shines most. Then the room’s votes appear with the suggested answer and its scripture, and the family talks about how to imitate it. Nobody races: the conversation is the point.
Hebrews 6:12
1–40Hidden Verse
Win letters to uncover a hidden Bible verse.
A Bible verse is hidden on the big screen as blank tiles. On your turn, answer a quick question. Get it right and you score, then pick a letter: it fills in everywhere it belongs, and every time it shows up scores more. Or go for it and solve the whole verse for a big bonus, but a wrong try costs you points. Play on your own or in teams. The highest score wins.
Proverbs 2:4
3–40Word Imposter
Everyone knows the word. Almost everyone.
Every phone shows the same secret word, except the imposters, whose phones just say “Imposter”. In turn, each player says one word out loud that fits the secret, but not so clearly that the imposters can guess it. The imposters listen closely and try to sound as if they know. Then everyone votes: who is the imposter? Right votes score, and the faster the better; with several imposters, the first one you name pays in full and each further one pays half. An imposter nobody suspects scores big!
